Our Services

In addition to providing transport for hospital and other medical appointments, we can also help with transport for those visiting relatives in residential homes, lunch clubs and other social needs. Any request will be considered.

Goodneighbours use their own cars to drive people to and from hospital, doctors, other health appointments or visits. The service is for people who have no other way of getting to these appointments, for an example no family or friends who could take them.

Our volunteers provide their time free, but, as we are a self-funding group, we ask our clients for a voluntary donation for our services.

Donations for transport are based on the cost of the journey to and from your home, normally 50p per mile depending on the number of passengers being carried.

From the centre of Eastleigh you can expect to pay £12.70 return to the Royal County Hospital, Winchester. (There may be a small variation depending on where you live in Eastleigh.)

Other services are provided for donations of £6 per hour (minimum £5 and includes mileage) from those able to pay.

See our Scale of Donation Requests (pdf fileAdobe Logo Reader) for more information.
